[BUG] No notifications during Facetime calls

Hi everyone,

I'm having some issues since I upgrade my iPhone to iOS 10.

Since then, every time I'm on call on Facetime, Messenger or WhatsApp (CallKit problem?) and I lock the screen, my phone buzzes, turns on the light but no notification is showed on the lock screen.

The only way I can see them is by unlocking the phone and scrolling down to get the notification center.

Is it normal or is it a bug?

Thank you!

Hi gabriel91g,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community! I understand you're having trouble receiving some notifications on your iPhone. I certainly wouldn't want to miss any information as it came in so I can understand wanting to make sure your notifications are working. I'm happy to help.

The first thing I recommend to try is restarting your iPhone.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Once you restart, you can also take a look at the notification settings and make sure that the notifications are set up the way you'd like them to be.

Use Notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

After checking out the notification settings, take a look at Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Allow Access When Locked. Make sure that 'Turn on Notification View' is toggled on.

Take care.

Thanks for the update, gabriel91g! If you're still having trouble with your notifications you may want to try resetting your settings. This will not erase any of your personal data, but you may want to back up your iPhone before resetting. How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch .

What Reset All Settings will reset: Date & Time, Background App Refresh, Sounds, Display & Brightness, Wallpaper, Touch ID & Passcode, deregisters iMessage, resets restrictions, removes Apple Pay cards, resets your Wi-Fi network preferences. You'll need your Wi-Fi password in order to reconnect. To reset you can go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

After the phone restarts, you'll need to set those preferences back up and test your notifications out.

Cheers!
